The Truth About Single-Use Coffee

Flavia users can sign up for their TerraCycle program.
This program makes it easy for your workplace to collect and recycle all of those used coffee packs so that their manufacturers can separate organic and inorganic material to create new products. Some of these recycled products include organic compost and fertilizer, and go as far as park benches and bike racks that are donated to local schools and community spaces. Nespresso also has its own comprehensive recycling program
There are multiple ways to participate, making it easy for customers to choose which method works best for them. This includes dropping used pods off at one of their 100,000 collection points around the world, or filling their Nespresso Recycling Bag to give to the postman with your next coffee delivery. Did Your Coffee Brewer Have a Busy Season?
Nothing beats the sting of winter cold like a warm cup of coffee to start your workday. But as winter gives way to the refreshing arrival of spring, the focus in the workplace shifts from seeking warmth to ensuring the continuity of your team's coffee break routine. Your brewers, which likely saw heightened usage during the colder months, are no different than your car; it's a machine that requires regular servicing and tune-ups. By doing so, you can avoid costly repairs and lapses in service.
Our experts say that one of the most easily overlooked areas when it comes to maintaining brewers are the filters. When is the last time you checked your machine's internal filter? Typically, these filters last for about a year, but if you have a particularly busy workplace or saw an increase in use over the winter, you may need to replace it more frequently. Failing to do so can lead to altered tastes and aromas, lingering oils and residue, or even start corroding internal metallic surfaces due to the limescale buildup.

2. If you don't have a service contract with WD, don't worry, we still have you covered. Our service calls are $90 per hour plus the cost of the filter. You can schedule an appointment here.
